More Than Candy

Hallowe'en, All Saints, and All Souls days are upon us. Once again, I have nothing to show for them but pumpkins and a (half-eaten) bag of candy.

Small goals: talk about the origin of the word hallowed, make our fall trip to Calvary Cemetary.

For overachievers: This article from Catholic Culture gives party ideas in unusual depth.

  1. We're laying low, roasting hot dogs & doing caramel apples. No dressing up, no spooking, just enjoying our family & our closest friends (my BFF's family only). Stripping down holidays makes them more special, to enjoy the meaning rather than the hub-bub. Well, that's my 2 cents anyway...
